The weather is awful here in Sydney at the moment as I found episode 341 on youtube yesterday morning. I am now at episode 364.
I remember not enjoying these episodes as much back in 1993 and more recently on the foxtel re run in 2014/15. However I must say I have enjoyed these episodes very much.
Bea and Lizzie are still leading the show but ably supported by Joan and Nola. I am even enjoying the Driscoll House scenes too.

Highlights - The Bea/Nola rivalry, leading to Bea's escape and the Sydney episodes.
Lizzie and Maxine double act
The Colleen affair storyline
Joan and Meg rivalry
Judy's grandson
Faye Quinn. She used to really annoy me however I felt very sorry for the character in the last few episodes. Rhonda from the half way house is a a pain as Maxine's mum as well as her 1980 stint.
There was also a lot of actors playing minor roles who turned up again and again.

Overall a good first half to 1983 in my opinion.

I think it says a lot about Prisoner that storylines and characters that used to annoy us on one run are regarded in a different light in another. That's why Prisoner is so eminently rewatchable - there's always something new to enjoy about it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Very true. It is strange how, like you said, certain characters can make you feel different about them with differing times in your life you watch the show. Heck, I'm even really enjoying Lynn Warner at the moment! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/034.gif)

I sit there with a sense of mounting dread with each new rewatch, scared to the bone that one day I'll log in and say I'm loving Alison Page and she and Phil Cleary need to get hitched and start a family. This, sadly, is the power of Prisoner ... LOL! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/Chortle.gif)

I really enjoyed the Faye Quinn on the outside story, it often bemuses me though how she went from a supporting role to being important enough to have her own outside story, only to have her sent to another block when she returned to Wentworth.

The Colleen affair and the Lori stuff did nothing for me.

Oh I've blacked it out....the 'affair' with Roger 'stud' Oakley was just awful. Made bearable with great acting from Catherine Wilkin; who had actually only just survived a car accident not long before (you can tell she has problems walking on some occasions)

Could it be when she pops over and cheekily stays the night?

I wonder if she found it amusing her character was in prison for not paying a fine after a car accident?

I doubt it, considering her boyfriend was killed in the accident.

Sorry I didn't know the details. Perhaps a bit harsh on the writers then to give her that.

The storyline was probably planned before the actress was cast.

Yes more than likely - still a bit daft. HIGH security prison for someone who hasn't paid a fine?
