So Wentworth Forum is turning 10 years old in October and thought it would be a nice idea to have polls of the week to get us to keep discussions going. So do please post your opinion and what you voted for in the polls when they are posted up if you can.

Please give any suggestions for upcoming polls here and we will be happy to make it a "poll of the week".

How about:

Most evil character of entire series (screw or con)
Most pointless character
Biggest change in character e.g. from baddie to goodie as with Lurch.

Ruth Ballenger needs to be added to the most evil inmate category. Ordering the death of Myra and casually boasting about her Child Porn racket earns her first place on the list alone as far as I'm concerned. No redeeming features whatsoever.

Add Len Murphy and Ernest Craven to the evil screws list as well.

Tracey Morris could be worth a mention but doubt anyone would vote for her

Interesting Poll ideas - I like the ' Most Evil Inmate' category. Always a popular debate idea, I think. Lou Kelly could be in with a shout in this category - she might not win it, but some of the things she did were pure evil (hanging Eve Wilder, murdering Alice's brother and sister, constant attempts at murdering Myra - some pretty despicable, cold-blooded acts amongst that little lot. Lou is already shortlisted as Most Evil Con.

Ruth Ballinger, Craven and Murphy - good shout, Bear.

Never mentioned in these "most evil" discussions is Janet Dominguez who came across as a person that did not care one bit about who got killed or not. Ordering the terrorist to kill Mrs Davidson without hesitation.

Not the most imaginative, but maybe a poll on 'best year', with options running through from '79 to '86

I do like the character vs character polls. So Bea is the most popular TD but what about Myra vs Rita? Lou vs Nola for villians and/or Reb, Marie Winter included perhaps. Or the the ultimate showdown in officer vs prisoner Joan vs Bea (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy0144od8.gif) Best social worker Bill Jackson, Agnes Forster, Jean Vernon, Paul Reid. Best Miscellaneous Character: Geoff Butler, Kevin Burns, Steve Wilson, Wally Wallace. Ted Douglas vs James Dwyer or Stuart Gillespie vs ..well I don't know but a great character would love to see him in some sort of poll (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

An idea for a poll, which is a bit unusual, could be 'which extended outside storyline did you like most'? Someone would be better than me putting the storyline headers into better words, but typical ones I mean are:

George Logan's shoe factory;
The Halfway house storyline (prob best not to dissect them into the two phases)
The Andrew Reynolds/Kate White work release programme;
The Attendance Center work release programme (the one with Peter Richards)

And any others I forgot etc etc

I have been informed that, of course, there are LOADS of outside storylines, so narrowing it could be harder than I thought, and of course they were of different length too, the halfway house etc going on for a years or so!
But still it maybe an ideal for a poll given outside storylines were an integral part of the show too.

Yes if anybody can list the best/main outside storylines that would be amazing.

I would add the juvenile delinquant/Queenie Marshall to the list myself.

Bea on the run in Sydney

Sonia/Bobbie MIchell in Sydney are a few others.

I guess the hard part is those two, for eg, are far different storylines than, say, Reynolds/Kay White work release factory, so it's difficult to compare- if one considers ALL outside storylines.

However, that isn't to say a poll can't be constructed that includes 4 or 5 say, and debate which of those viewers like the best? I guess the material in the poll could be made to focus on similar outside storylines, if the poll focuses on just the 4 or 5, say?
